New Terlato Pinot Grigio Packaging and Celebratory Reidel Glassware Partnership

Terlato Wines and Riedel Glassware are two family owned companies synonymous with the world of wine. Tony Terlato is known around the world as the “Father of Pinot Grigio,” as he first introduced the varietal to U.S. consumers in 1979. Continually making strides and breaking boundaries, Terlato Wines has created the First Pinot Grigio to Inspire its own Riedel wine glass. What I like about the glass is that it enhances the aromas of the wine. This is a tall and long style of wine glass where it’s tapered at the opening, thus enabling the best possible drinking experience. Riedel Glassware.

Terlato Pinot Grigio is an estate grown, handcrafted Italian Pinot Grigio from the hillside vineyards of Friuli Colli Orientali.  This is prime land for Pinot Grigio grapes, where there is rocky, poor soil, and 20-30 year old vines. The wine is produced in modern facilities with traditional terroir-driven farming practices. They hand harvest and have Guyot-trained vines.

Ordinarily, I would say Pinot Grigio isn’t a terribly aromatic white wine. However because of the newly designed Reidel wine glass to go along with this wine, it really enables you to enjoy this wine in its best possible conditions. Notes of honey suckle. Pear, and apricot. This isn’t like Santa Margarita Pinot Grigio, which I don’t care for. This wine is much less acidic and is more approachable, certainly worth a try! SRP $20
